
POWDER MIX FOR TART

A gluten-free and lactose-free powdered mix for creating a fragrant and perfectly even shortcrust pastry. The ideal base for tarts, tartlets and a wide range of pastry applications that require shortcrust dough.
Ingredients:
400 g Babbi Home Bakery Tart Mix
120 g lactose-free butter or margarine
1 egg (about 70 g)
Preparation:
Place the Babbi Home Bakery Tart Mix in a bowl, add the diced butter and the egg, and knead until the dough becomes smooth and uniform.
Roll out the shortcrust pastry between two sheets of baking paper (2–3 mm thick) and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Line a 26 cm tart tin with the dough, fill with your favourite jam, then cut strips from the remaining pastry and create the classic lattice on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (fan) or 180°C (conventional) for about 20–30 minutes.
